Practically everyone in the modern world could use new health and wellness tips, including you. Between demands in your personal and professional life, it can become difficult to maintain your health. However, it should be an essential priority each day.

Eat Seasonal Produce

When possible, purchase locally grown organic goods.

Make sure that you have at least one item containing vitamin C daily. To ensure you have a well-rounded plan, include all colors of the rainbow each week. At least half should be green, with the ratio of remaining colors according to their representation in the store. Simply put, that means the more of a color you see, the more you should eat. Red and orange are common produce colors so you will have large portions of those foods. On the other hand, blue and purple have minimal representation at the store. One to two servings per week should suffice.

Create A Bedtime Routine

The majority of folks today have poor sleep habits. If you develop a nightly routine and retire at the same time each evening, you can improve your sleep quality. At least half an hour prior to bedtime, turn off your electronic devices. This includes your cell phone, television and tablet devices.

In addition to your nightly grooming, you might want to include meditation, journaling or other beneficial habits into your plans. Although it might feel awkward at first, your body will quickly learn to respond to the cues that bedtime is approaching. Over time, you will fall asleep more readily and wake more refreshed.

Practice Good Oral Health

You might not realize that the health of your mouth is an indicator of your overall health. Take the time to learn about oral hygiene and practice diligently. Consider using a Bass toothbrush to lessen the damage to your gums.

Also, utilize a tongue brush to eliminate bacterial buildup there. A high-quality, alcohol-free mouthwash can keep your mouth feeling fresh. Avoid alcohol because it can dry your mouth and create more troubles.

Stretch

The modern sedentary lifestyle provides minimal challenges for your muscles. One way to stimulate them is to practice stretching. You can perform ankle twists while you are typing and neck stretches while talking on the phone.

The idea is to keep the blood flowing throughout your body. Try to spend at least five minutes of each hour stretching while you perform other tasks.
